Information about the book

Sunan Ibn Majah is one of the six well-known hadith collections of Islam and comprises traditions on matters of faith, legal rulings, and Islamic practice. Its author, Imam Ibn Majah (d. 273 AH), compiled hadiths of varying degrees of transmission, thus making a significant contribution to the preservation of the Sunnah.

Nuʿaym b. Ḥammād reported:
It was once said to ʿAbdullah b. al-Mubārak:
“O Abū ʿAbd ar-Raḥmān, you often sit alone at home.”
He replied:
“Am I alone? I am with the Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him – and with his companions.”

This refers to the reading of the Hadiths.
